Common questions
How is Servd different from other recipe apps?
Most recipe apps store recipes and make shopping lists. Servd does that too, and it also plans the cooking: pick your dishes and a serve time, and Servd builds one timeline across every dish so they're ready together. Along the way it handles the things that usually go wrong: prep you'd forget (mise en place lists it up front), grocery lists that repeat items (Servd merges them by aisle), running out of an ingredient mid-recipe (swap it and the steps update), and cooking with a second person (sous chef mode splits the plan across two phones). Recipes from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and any website import in a tap, everything syncs across devices, and there's no trial to cancel.
How do I save a recipe from Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook?
Open the post, tap Share, and choose Servd. Servd pulls the ingredients and steps out of the caption or video. Some posts can't be imported because the platform restricts them (age-restricted or private posts, for example).
Can I bring my recipes over from Paprika or Google Docs?
Yes. In Servd, go to Add Recipe and tap "Import from Paprika or Google Docs". For Paprika, export your recipes from Paprika's settings and pick that file. For Google Docs, select your recipe docs in Google Drive, choose Download, and pick the downloaded files or .zip. Documents import up to 30 recipes at a time; run it again to bring in the rest.
Can Servd make a recipe from a photo of food?
Yes. In Add Recipe, open the Photo tab and tap "Photo of food". Snap a dish or an ingredient, add any preferences, and Servd suggests a recipe.
My recipes or photos aren't showing on my new phone.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple or Google account on both devices. If photos from older recipes are missing, open Servd on your old phone while signed in, go to the Recipes tab, and leave it open for a minute so it can upload them.
How do I share recipes or a meal with someone?
In Recipes, press and hold a recipe to start selecting, pick the ones you want, and tap the share icon. To share a whole meal, open Saved Meals and tap the share icon next to it. The other person taps the link to add everything to their Servd. Sharing needs you to be signed in; receiving doesn't.
Is Servd free?
Yes. Servd is free to download and use, and every month includes an allowance of AI features like recipe imports, cook plans, and pantry scans. Servd Pro removes those limits and adds sous chef mode, for $4.99/month or $44.99/year. You can cancel anytime through the App Store or Google Play.
How do I manage or cancel Servd Pro?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Servd. On Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Servd. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel the subscription.
I paid for Pro but the app doesn't show it.
In Servd, go to Settings → Upgrade and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of that screen, making sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with. If that doesn't fix it, email us.
How do I delete my account?
In Servd, go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, recipes, pantry, saved meals, and any links you've shared. It doesn't cancel a subscription; cancel that through the App Store or Google Play.
